Warwickshire Rugby Pitch Up and Play (PUPs)
Warwickshire Rugby’s Pitch Up & Play (PUPs) events offer girls aged U12 to U18 an extra opportunity to get involved in rugby, especially those who may not have many chances to play with their home clubs. These sessions aim to develop skills, build confidence, and grow a passion for the game in a friendly and supportive setting.
Supported by Warwickshire Rugby and hosted by clubs across the county, PUPs are open to all, with no requirement for a club to host an event in order to participate. On game day, players simply "Pitch Up" at the host club, where they’re grouped into balanced teams and dive straight into playing matches. Whenever possible, we keep players from the same club together and aim to field full teams, ideally 15-a-side.
For convenience, PUPs events are split into two regional areas, but players and clubs are welcome to attend any location that works best for them. These events focus on inclusivity, enjoyment, and encouraging more girls in Warwickshire to enjoy playing rugby at all levels.
