This week's Community Game Update has some useful items that I just wanted highlight. I'm just going to share initial headlines, as there is more detail in the CGU.

#1 - Volunteer Recruitment Scheme. Given conversation I've been having recently, a number of clubs have indicated a need to recruit some new volunteers. This scheme (if the application is successful), offers clubs £500 to use in an attempt to recruit new volunteers. Applications can be submitted from Monday 14th October until Friday 22nd November.

#2 - Community Rugby Support Fund. If you feel your club is in significant financial need, you can apply to claim a one off payment of £500 (with a potential enhanced grant of an additional £375, subject to application and available funds). Applications can be submitted now and the deadline is the 5th November.

#3 - Women's Leadership Programme. We have two programmes running to support women involved in rugby union. Programme one is the 'Women's Leadership Development Programme' to help support and develop strengths and confidence to make a difference. This programme has significant focus on women leaders in committee and/or board roles. Programme two is 'Inspire', for 20-25 year old leaders and aspiring leaders for the future. If you know of anyone that this might be relevant to, please make them aware of this great opportunity.

#4 - Safeguarding Audit. The deadline for this annual and mandatory requirement (Reg21), is the 25th October. Please make every effort to ensure this is completed.
