Communication below from Rick Skene, WRFU Facility Lead UPDATE - VERTIDRAIN OPPORTUNITY

The county executive, through the Facilities Group are offering clubs the opportunity to have one pitch Deep Tine Aerated(verti-drained) at no cost to the club.

Conditions for deep tine aeration are perfect at the moment.

There is a limited number of operations available so they will be strictly on a first come first served basis.

Priority will be given to clubs who have engaged with the RFU/GMA and have either had a pitch inspection or have one booked with the GMA. The one caveat is that those clubs that are receiving a pitch maintenance grant won’t be considered.

The application window will close on 18th October 2024.
Almost a year ago I advised that there would be another request for further information to update the Club Facilities Audit well the time has arrived but the name has changed and it is now called club 'Facility Needs Capture’. Essentially, as a club develops and personnel and ambitions change the information is an update on where the club sees its future. The form is attached, below, click on the link or copy and paste into your browser.

Warwickshire RFU use the information you provide to update the county Facility Development Plan identifying priority projects for future investment as/when it becomes available supported, of course, by the RFU’s Midlands Development Team.

It is important that only one response per club is submitted, please communicate with others in your club otherwise your requirements may not be properly recorded. When submitting your information attempt to apply a potential timeframe with the description.

The completion deadline the Facility Needs Capture is 31st December 2024, although you might think there is plenty of time and put it to one side while concentrating on getting teams onto the pitch at the weekends, the date will soon sneak up on you.

If you are one of the clubs that haven’t already engaged with the RFU/GMA in respect of a pitch inspection I would urge you to do so asap especially if you have 'on pitch facility needs’.

Use this link for an expression of interest in an RFU/GMA Pitch Inspection. The Pitch Inspection could well lead to a pitch maintenance grant, a number of which have been provided to county clubs already
